STINGRAYS SWIM TEAM
ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Gloucester Stingrays Swim Team is a member of the Tri-County Swim Association of South Jersey. The league consists of multiple divisions and offers us the opportunity to swim against teams similar to our size.

The team is under the direction of Coach Brianna Penney.

The season runs from Memorial Day to the last weekend in July, with most meets occurring on Saturday mornings. If a swimmer qualifies, championships take place in early August.
​
Children ages 5 (who have a red band)-18 are encouraged to join the team. They will learn to master the four main strokes in swimming: free, back, breast, and butterfly. Not only that, they will build upon sportsmanship and teamwork while having fun in the water!
MEET THE COACH
Brianna Penney
The GC Stingrays would like to welcome back Brianna Penney who will be returning for her 4th year as the Stingrays Head Coach! Brianna started swimming with the Stingrays at a young age and is excited to be continuing with us for the years to come. She is a USA Swimming certified coach and has been coaching indoor club swim with Blue Wave Aquatics for several years. She also was a lifeguard at the swim club for many years and now is our assistant manager at the club. She is currently finishing up her third year of college with plans to become a school teacher. We are thrilled she will be returning to our Stingrays team!!
